Lord of the Lines
The Matix Lord of the Lines contest at Pit Crew last Sunday had to be the best event of the summer. Kids came out from all over the Mid Atlantic, Delware, Jersey, PA, Virginia, DC and all corners of Maryland were representing. I had the privilege and pain of judging this event. Some of the heats there were 3-4 kids who could have moved forward and a few heats were not so staked, but in the end the 4 kids who skated hardest all day deservedly made it to the finals. The earlier heats had some really amazing skateboarding and some tough calls. Jimmy Pelletier MC'd harder than Dave Duncan on steroids all afternoon in the blazing August heat and eduskated the youth with a triva product quiz. At the end of the video you can hear how big Tony from Matix hooked up the top 4 with some sick prizes. What a great way to end the summer, from top to bottom the guys at Pit Crew put on another solid event, and Matix came through with one of the best contests and most generous prize packages around. All the kids who entered skated so hard especially through the grueling heat in the first couple rounds. I can't wait for next year!
