Happy Birthday Kyle!

Kyle Jensen's Skateboarding prowess and selfless loyalty to our crew is the physical embodiment of the Seven fold Movement. To celebrate the great day that gave birth to our man Kyle, we have released his What?! part on itunes.

Get out the Park

Had to convince Edan and House to skip the park and take it to the streets today. They did way more shreading than the video covers, it was a fun little sesh, and we even got to briefly hit up a new little spot before getting kicked out by the word 'Dude!'. Once the rain came we took it to Squisito and ate like fat boys.

Start with a Solid Foundation

I had to finally bust these out and start rocking them after having a brilliant conversation with a brilliant man, Tony Thomas about all the newbies... If you don't have any heat from the first releases, your collection is Some Bullshit... kicks from Active or CCS are in no way limited... It's all about the hunt, the hunt is the experience, the kicks at the end preserve that feeling.

Nurturing my Relationship

Got to spend Valentines Day with my one true love who has always been there for me, my skateboard. Took it up to Truxton in the afternoon, and we just put a hurting on that ledge, felt just like the good old days killing it with Rob Digi in the City. Then to keep our relationship well rounded we headed up for an amazing bowl session with Ed, Ellis, Sean, and Tony. Feeling like Ice Cube right now, I gotta say today was a good day.

90's Nike Skateboarding Comercial

This was good even though the swoosh is creepy...

Old Ad

This could be the first ever Sevenfold (no spaces for you Scott) ad. Scott laid this one out with the photo I shot at the same time I was filming this massive gap for the What?! video. I think it was supposed to go into Resolve or one of those little east coast free magazines way back in the day.

Voting is not a right, it's our civic obligation

There is still one Madman endorsed candidate out there fighting the good fight...

Ressurection of a Salesman

I finally convinced myself to get back into the rep game, it feels better than old times, I even got a call from my old cube neighbor Ish on his lunch skate.
Actually I'm still on the clock, got to go call Technique...
Check out my boy's Sol Skateboards in Longmont Colorado, that ripper Tyler Price is one of my old flow kids, he kills it!

James Williams One Day

This was such a fun day skating with Chris and James. We have know James for about as long a Seven fold has been around. I feel fortunate that he has found his skateboard again because I have always felt that he was part of our crew since he was a little kid. This was the first day I went out with him to make it all official. That's right he's on Madman flow!

Chris Opilla, owner of Seven Fold Skateboards has come a long way since first earning his graphic design degree in 1999. After playing around with shirt designs and such for a few years until a few crew members starting asking about decks. Chris then looked around at a bunch of manufacturers and settled on a great wood factory in the Southeast who had made decks for a friend. In 2004, Chris moved to LA, and I ended up taking a job with Element Skateboards which “took up a ton of time. I kept involved with the team and consulted with my former partner while I was living the corpo life at element.” Seven Fold put out our first full length dvd in 2005 called, what?!, which was a killer video from what I saw in the promo. “About a year ago things started going real sour at Element real quick, a bunch of my close friends got fired or quit,” so Chris left back to the East Coast to start up Seven Fold Skateboards again. “It’s been an amazing 6 months, and the company has already turned around so quick and we are making a new promo video to drop soon, and working on a full length for 2009. We are expanding our clothing line and keeping it all made here in the USA.”

Poached Post

I poached these photos from the myspace page of one of the models from the catalog shoot, stoked that she gave me propers, that was such a fun job.

When it Sprains it Pours

While 2008 (or as Ed has approppriatley named it Two Thousand Skate!) has been one of the greatest years in Seven fold company history, it's been a brutal start for our team. If we were an NBA team we would only have about 6 men dressed and would be calling up all of our D-League players. Any stupid suggestions I might have been making about retiring to work behind the scenes are killed, don't worry kids the 180 nosegrinds are back on lock, take your time healing up.

Here's the official Seven fold team 'Injury Update'

Kyle Jensen - knee/back - possible career ending
Jordan Puett - knee - day to day
Chris Blose - toe up - 2 - 6 weeks
Jake Mendelson - ankle - 2 months
Chris Teta - ankle - 4 - 6 weeks

Avalon

I really need to add the Pete Yorn song to this clip. Such a sick session went down last week, this footage is crap, Bush killed it/ Ed ruled it, Rodney showed his proness, Gary, and Willigan too! The only head missing was our boy Rupp, you need to get out here kid!

Basketball is my Favorite Sport

The only sport I love, I can't believe I'm actually affiliated with the same team as Grant Hill... I think that's why I've been balling more lately. Erin got a nice sequence of my getting separation and sinking the shot, and she also got a good clip of Big Chris taking me to the hole and abusing me.

Super Annapolis Bowl

You know I would rather skate a bowl than watch a bunch of roid monsters in spandex, but my man Bill Belichick, is a true Annapolitan just like myself. We went to the same High School and we both are the leaders of the greatest TEAMs in our chosen professions. I'm a true patriot and you know this, I always stand behind my homey's, so go make history today Bill, you have inspired me to take our boys undefeated in 2008. And for all you gamblers out there, the madman picks New England to stomp today 48-17.

Speaking of itunes...

We're on that junk too. Well atleast Caleb is for now, more podcasts coming soon!

The best show on TV on itunes!

I just bought season 2 on itunes, and watched 2 episodes. You have no idea how stoked I am right now. If you haven't seen it you're blowing it.

Diary of an Asshole

I just came to the realization I probably won't ever get to skate this ditch ever again, so I'm blowing it up for all of the Madman supporters in SoCal. It's behind the Newport Beach Library off Avacado near Fashion Island. Park on the side and walk up the dirt hill. You are so very welcome. Since I'm blowing out spots, there is another ditch/bank spot near here, down the PCH past Corona Del Mar on the way to Laguna Beach, if you keep your eyes open on the left just past Newport Coast Drive you can't miss it.

Grant Hill

True Blue

This shirt has done more in the last five years than most people do in a lifetime... the young silent assassin, Mountain Dew before it was a tour, a starring role in the What?! video, still the urban myth skates on.

No place like home

Can't find these anywhere else!
